Default Fire Update...it runs but problems

Got my truck running but there are some kinks:

1. It won't shift...don;t know why. Doesn;t feel like it fully ****s into 1st. I was at a stopsign where there is an incline. i was turning left and had to scream it just to roll up the hill and make the turn. No lights are on in the gauge cluster though.

2. GEN problems. Not sure if its the alt or the battery isn;t charging. I am guessing a fire that burns all your wires, will cause a short in the alt.

Also, i installed a fastman. Is there supposed to be a sucking from the IAC area? It feels like a vac leak and my idle is about 1000. But then again maybe the computer hasn't relearned yet. Only drive it for a mile.

Any thoughts on the tranny? I got another kickdown cable from the junkyardand it has that white spacer on it. Would that cause me shifting headaches?

At least i got it running.

Anyone? Can someone ell me why the tranny won't shift? Can it have to do with any of the relays that i switched in the PDC?

I would check any grounds, also if you got that new kick down cable, it could be too tight causing the transmission to be constantly thinking it has to downshift.

ahh, having the spacer will tighten it up. Maybe i can take the spacer off. It is that white thing that goes behind the throttle bracket. Thats probably my problem.

I'll check my grounds, but i am thinking the fire reversed the polarity of the alternator when everything shorted.

Thanks,
