flushing coolent system

Default flushing coolent system

i bought a coolent clener bcause my system is full of nasty.should i flush it and run the cleaner with no t-sat for the time suggested on the bottle

i would think youd need to pull it out so that the flush could flow thru constantly when the engine is running but wait for someone else to post because im not sure

Are you replacing the t stat? If not, you'll want to clean that too as its a source of bottle necking and a collection point for crud.

All you need to do is put the cleaner in and run the truck for 10 mins. It'll run it through everything and the t stat will open by then. Make sure you completely flush out the old coolant BEFORE you put the cleaner in.

I would replace the t'stat if the system is that cruddy. Cheap insurance. Flush 1st tho as AIM described above.

ya im replacing the t stat to a 180 i have to do the plentum leak job so ill b doimg a complete overhaul.so it would be a good idea to run the cleaner with out the t stat in right?

i guess that would be a good idea contant flow.i have a hose adp. to hook a gardan hose up and power flush.
