Can't Get Front Infinity Speakers to work with New Head Unit
Hey all, today I installed a new head unit in my 98 Ram Sport with the I believe infinity sound system. I have searched these forums and done the recommendations I found but still cannot get the front amplified speakers to turn back on.
The stock head unit had a wire with a plastic connector labeled "AMP" connected to the back, it would be a ground. This wire was BLACK with a BLUE tracer.
I have tried running this "AMP" wire to the new deck's ground, as well as tried running it to the "remote" and "power antenna" wires, but nothing has worked. I checked the #4 10A fused labeled amp and it is still good.
Any help?
Thanks, Dan.

You have the remote turn on leads in the harness hooked up? This was the problem I had when I installed my H/U. I wasn't expecting to have to hook that up.
Well, there were no wires left unattatched so I would assume they are connected. I thought the remote turn on lead is the wire that I am reffering too.
If you do have the infinity sound system, the infinity 6x9s that are in the doors have their own amps attached to them that they are powered by. But they getcontrolled by the stock head unit. By chance what head unit did you put in? I had this problem when I put in my kenwood. Also this might be a dumb question but did you use a harness kit?
Thanks all but I got them to work.
I took the greenish stock power antenna wire and connected it to the remote wire out of the deck, and also grounded the stock "amp" wire and they work properly.
