Oil gauge failure

Default Oil gauge failure

My oil gauge goes to 0 then to 40 then to 0 to 40. I dont know what the problem is. Any ideas?

Perhaps the sensor? My gas gauge would bounce around randomly when that sensor went out in my 1995 Dakota.

EDIT: I would definitely get it checked out though, in case it really is something with your oil pressure.

Sounds like a wiring problem for sure. The oil pressure sender is located on the top of the engine right at the back behind the intake manifold, passenger side i think? But yeah, get it checked anyways.

i had the same problem in mine i just went and got a mechanical guage
