Mouse/Squeak Noise?
Beats me. It's too freggin cold to get under the hood! lol. But I kind of thinking a belt of some kind. it comes and goes so it's not like a vacuum hose or anything. Gotta be something belt related at least, so I can see the fan clutch being the culprit.
Serpentine belt perhaps. If you can get under the hood, take a flashlight and examine the inside of the belt. If you see cracks, no matter what size, your belt needs to be replaced.
Yeah, mine just started squeaking last week, but only when I'd make a turn going at low speeds (below 15mph or so). Took it in and they told me that the U-joint on the front driver's side had gone bad, which caused the squeak. And while they were done there, they checked on the ball joints... and they are going bad as well. He even took me out and showed me the "play" that they shouldn't have.
So yeah... got an estimate of $890.33 for four front ball joints, two U-joints and a new wheel alignment. The truck needed one anyway, so what the heck. Good thing the tax return came in last week...

Well I've done the ball joints, if you have the room I do recommend doing it yourself and saving the labor costs. Advance Auto makes a great kit, by Powerbuilt. If I had that at first, I would have done in hours, not weeks, lol.
i haven't heard that squeal today, so I'm not positive it is a belt. But I do think they could be replaced for maintenance's sake.
What's the best way to run a serpentine belt on our motors

I was reading about replacing the U-Joints and ball joints in my Haynes Repair Manual, and it just seemed a bit over my head as far as experience/knowledge went. So I decided to go the safe route and pay the experts to do it. I know it could have been a learning experience, but I personally don't have the money, time, or tools to fix it if I screw it up worse.
I'd follow the diagram on the front of the engine compartment for routing the serpentine belt.

I forgot about the diagram. LOL. I'm so use to my truck being broken or missing little things like that I just didn't think of it.
But I had no knowledge of the ball joint procedure before I started, and it took me awhile to finally get the right kit, but other than the kit, all you need is a big pipe or something steel to slide over the crank, and it aint that bad. I was very happy to save 800 or so dollars to do it myself. And I'm a total "noobie"
