The load adjuster shocks I have on the rear of my truck are the shocks that have the coil springs on the shocks themselves to help with towing. They also raise the truck up about an inch or so when the truck has not load on it, and after putting them on I do notice that the truck is alittle bouncy at times in the rear. Putting the load adjusting shocks on are a bitch because they are about 5 or 6 inches longer than what a stock shock are and you cannot compress them like a regular shock. The price on the shocks were about $150 plus tax, I got mine mine at Advance Auto where I work and the we have been selling alot of them lately since the price on them has been cut in half about a month ago (gotta love corporate greed).

4wheelparts.com has the Rancho's on sale right now buy 3 get 1 free and free shipping. I know a lot of guys don't like 4wheelparts but that looks like a good deal to me.

I just put the Monroe Sensatracs on my truck, So far I like the ride. I had the Rancho RS5000 (on sale now on the classified page) on my truck and to me they were just to stiff of a ride. So for now I like the sensatracs.

Funny, I find Rancho a bit on the soft side.
They are decent but I've seen too many bust off the lower mounting eyelet to recommend them.

...I had started a detailed post to leave summarizing what I dug up on shocks, ...and lost it before it got posted.
Anyway, ...I ended up looking at FOUR different shocks, ...listed here in approximate order of cost (highest to lowest):
Rancho RS900X
Edelbrock Performer IAS
Bilsteins
Monroe Sensitrac

Long story short, ...I ordered a set of the Edelbrock's, ...which I should receive any day. It was a close call (practically a coin toss) with the Bilsteins, ...so I could have as easily chosen them.
Once I install the shocks, I'll write back what my thoughts are.

...but they won't get done until I address the newly found leak , ...steering box dripping from output shaft. Going to pick up some Lucas and try that first...

I've heard a lot of good things about the Eddy IAS shocks. I doubt you could go wrong with them.

I plan to get a set eventually. I'm looking forward to reading your "review".[8D]

I've got some Bilsteins on order from ebay.Hopefully they will be here tomorrow.I still have the factory original shocks on it and there is alot of lean and roll on corners.Not too mention rear hop on overpasses with plates and such.Hopefully they will cure this and still have a nice not to stiff ride.

...well, ... I finally got around to installing the Edelbrock's (actually just the fronts so far). While I was under there, ...I replaced the steering stabilizer, ...stabilizer end links, ...and greased everything.
Will hopefully get the rears tonight, ...and I'm also thinking about doing the front pads and rotors while I'm at it.
I've got a tire/rim swap to do too, ..but I may wait on them to see the ride difference with the new shocks.
I'll post up some pics, ...and a how the ride changes in the next couple days.

you will notice a firmer ride, off road on washboard type roads they really shine as they dont beat the crap out of you...

I had both eddy's & bilstiens, both work great.
