Default Got My Build Sheet.

Hey All

Did the Email Thing for my Build Code. When I was looking to buy a used truck last Christmas, I know there were three choices.
Work Truck Cheap & Beat
Street Truck Buy it when the kid has a baby
Boat Truck Retired Guy Truck

The best truck on the market was my 1999 Dodge 1500. Here is my Build Sheet guess which one I got.

Looking at that build sheet my guess is you have my truck and about 80% of us here. I just don't have the two tone paint.

Glad you like your truck, how many miles is on it?

If you got the older fellas boat tower, enjoy getting the tranmission rebuilt around 100K.
If you got the work truck then you might be the best off, since there isn't any damage to the body... maybe he was a interior decorator. LOL
If you got it from the kid... then enjoy getting the transmission and rear end rebuilt from the neutral drops.

My guess is you got the Work Truck... The Cheap & Beat. Although yours is a little upper class cheap and beat.
You have Infinity sound, tint, power mirrors, alloy wheels, two tone paint as mentioned above. with the 3.55's, your not so much a street truck, as well as not a great combo for pulling your boat.

Haha, with that said, I probably have the cheapest cheap & beat on the forum. It's easier to list what she does have, rather than what she doesn't.

I have 5.2L auto 4x4 ext cab, AC, and an FM radio. Thats about all I have. All I need basically

Haha, I dont have carpet (mine is a black rubber stuff.. its factory).
Solid back window with no tint.
steel wheels with chrome trim rings (oh yea!)
3.55's
No tow package
No power anything
No factory LSD

She may not look that great, but she gets the job done!

Got the retired guy truck. Last owner was 70 & lived in CT. Retired guy truck is generally well taken care of.

It has 126000 on it so maybe the tranny has been rebuilt.

I live in CT also, check your doors for rot. ALL Rams up here have it, unless its been fixed.

The tranny might not have been if he drove it like typical retired guy... I don't buy in to the older driver mentality. My father in law is retired with a F-250 Diesel. He tows a boat, camper (used to have a 5th wheel), 2500lb dump trailer. I am not retired and I don't tow anything, which is much easier on the tranny.

Just enjoy your truck, glad you are happy with it. just be aware they are known to have weak trannys, front bearings, front brakes, plenum, and rattling catalytic converters... mostly needing to be replaced when the truck has 100K or so.
