Default pcv valve

has anyone had a pcv valve stuck in the vavle cover? im doing a tune up and i cant get the pcv valve out. everytime i pull hard on it it feels like its going to break.ive only had the truck for about a month so im slowly going through everything and changing stuff so i know that its been done truck has 125000 on it so im thinking that it hasnt been replaced in awhile. i appreciate the help

it takes a little time but it should eventually work itself out, i doubt you'll break it and if you do then take a pair of neddel-nose pliers and pull out the last bit of it, goodluck

The worst that would happen if it broke off, would be that you would have to pull the valve cover off and push it out from the inside

Well you should........its either that or clean the old gasket and put some RTV on it

If your going to get a new gasket, don't get a cork one.....rubber ones seem to seal better

My '96 5.9 Ram & my '94 5.2 JGC has a rubber has a rubber grommet that holds the PVC valve in place in the valve cover. Can't you just pull & twist to remove the PVC?

Valve covers on our trucks are tough as nails and reusable. Many times- believe me.

you can squirt a very small amount of pb blaster on the outside of the PCV to lube it up and pull it out.
