1bigram is that a 71 or72 grandprix i had a 71 when i was in school

direct fit is going to be more expensive, and its bolt in, universal are weld in and way cheaper becuase they can fit a variety of applications

so, basically, direct fit is better for the DIY kinda guys, and universal is better to take to a shop.
