Anyone buying tires based on Rolling Resistance? Here is a recent rating.
This came from 2005 Green Seal Report. I also saw some more in HankL's post regaring MPG.
(top rated RR tires, the lower the RRC the better)
Tire Brand Size RRC
BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A 245/75R16 0.0092
Michelin XPS Rib LT245/75R16 0.0101
Michelin LTX M/S 245/75R16 0.0103
Bridgestone Dueler A/T D693 245/75R16 0.0103Anyone use any of these lower RR tires?
I see they use Ribbed treads and curious about snow traction since I live in New England.

Is there a standard for how it is measured, or will it be one of these things that they each measure it their own way, and put their own results on the tire, thus making it useless as a serious comparison number.

rolling resistance? this is the first ive ever heard of it [sm=insomnia.gif]
just increase horsepower in the truck and there will be no worries about how much force it takes to roll em. id still buy a tire based on tread

I run the Michelin LTX M/S, it's a great tire. Much better traction and quieter ride than the old pathfinders I had on.
Excellent tread wear reviews as well from tirerack.com and discount tire. After burning through 2 sets of Pathfinders in under 30K each, I was done with that brand.
In my opinion its ridiculous to burn up a set of mudding/offroading tires on pavement. Invest in 2 sets, you already get a set of stock rims for free.
