Default Anyone running larger injectors have fuel sync issues?

Iv been having a tough time setting fuel sync without a scaner after putting in larger injectors. I had fuel sync set right before the fire, but I have to retard it like crazy or it backfires horribly. I dont have access to a scanner to help. Any ideas?

Sync signal doesn't really have anything to do with the actual injectors.
It more about cam and crank sensor correlation and distributor indexing.

set your crank on TDC compression cyl #1
mark your distributor housing on the position of #1 plug wire terminal.
Pop off the dist cap and rotate until the rotor is pointing at or just past the mark you made.
That should get you pretty close.
Maybe your a tooth off on the distributor?

Turn the balancer to the v8 mark, then back probe the cam sensor. With the ignition on, rotate the dist. until it swithes between 0 and 5 volts. Try to get as close to the point that it switches as you can. The v8 mark is somewhere 15-20* past tdc. That will get you close, but you should take it somewher that has a scanner afterwards. You're probably going to want a tune to go with those injectors. What was the rating at 49psi?

The sync tells the injectors when to fire. Usually the rotor tab ends up just before theline on the pick-up.

You pretty much have to have a drbIIIor aSNAP-ON to do fuel sync, and as you probably know, they ain't cheap. You're right about it being like pissing in the wind. It will run good enough to get somewhere at +/- 8

I was able to get sync set twice before without a scanner, once when I retarded the stock cam, and then when I put the new cam in. The only thing that I changed this time are the injectors. The only thing i can think of is that the injectors need to fire later (retard the sync) since they do spray more....idk how the injectors work, wheter or not they spray longer or just more at once. I usuially have no issues setting sync, but its just really hard to get it right this time. Every two revolutions im getting a backfire.
