its really easy man. what i did was take the tb off, and put it on my bench with the air cleaner. and used that to guestimate where my s bolt needed to be. you gotta bend that bolt so it will hold the air cleaner on. other than that, really straight forward install.

+1 on the DIY thread. It shows the specs on the bolt you need to make. It's a 3/4 inch offset. I used a couple nuts to hold it in a vise( so not to mar the threads )and hammered it over, flipped it over and did the same on the other end. Once it was cut to length, unscrew the nut to straighten out the cut threads. I also used a nut as a locknut on the TB.
Your bolt would have to be longer than the picture here...I used a 2 inch filter, not the 3 inch.

You do not need to take your TB off to this.

Gene563: So what you are saying is you had your nuts in a vise?!

I did mine a while back, but I took it off and put the stock one back on with the K&N drop in filter. The 14" round looked cool - but was too noisy for me. I had the 3" K&N round on mine.....
It's amazing how quiet the truck is once again with the stock one. I never got any fuel mileage gain out of it either......
