This is what I did for mine. As you can see, they aren't 6x9, but 6.5" woofer and I think a 1.5" tweeter. I made a template for the complete panel, then measured for holes for the 2 speakers, and the hole for the seatbelt anchor mounting bolt. It makes a great use for the space. It didn't cost all that much either.

They definately fit, but something you might rather do im not sure about your truck buy my back doors have two spots for 6 1/2"s so i have 4 in the back on a 600 watt pioneer amp and then 2 of the 6x9's in the front on that amp also, sounds pretty good in there highs are excellent but im also running subs, and tweeters. So yah.... its all balanced out nicely

Ok my dumb question of the day...I lied I've already posted that one but...when installing aftermarket speakers you need to cut the wire harness. What wire is the postive...and what one is the negative to hook up?!?! Dodge didn't make it black and red for me. [>:]

Any help thanks, oh btw for my two cents....install 4 in the back with Earthquakes and an amp....sounds great.

I can't stand when people take up their extended cab for a big ugly sub box. grr. what a waste. I like the underseat systems, or if anything, behind the center console in a custom box. I want to go with Alpine type-r all around, just don't think I can afford it. So looks like blaupunkt or a lower grade Alpine. I really like these MB Quarts though. they are component and have a basic woofer and tweeter. I might go with 6.5 in the rear, because I don't hear it that much and people in the back don't need to hear the best of the music
