Default Bumper replacement

So...I am thinking of replacing my bumper...not because it dented scratch or anything like that. Because the rubber is gray..suppose to be black! I've use everything I can think to turn it back black rubber...they work then when it rains back to grey! I know I know small thing but it drive me nuts!

Anyway..I say a craiglist posting for a 2001 bumper and brush guard for $600, that's a steal right? Wanted to check with you experts first before buying!

I've used Mother's Back to Black with good results. It'll never look like new, but for a week or so it looks good, and works great on stripping a thin layer of rubber away from the window seals and such. The more you use it the better it does at taking off the old oxidized crap.

As a tip, that stuff is great for using before you wax so the wax doesn't stick to the plastic. Kind of like a liquid tape job.
You can buy bumper covers off ebay. Those bumper covers take the brunt of the sun becasue they face straight up, but Back to Black will help just about every other part.

Don't you love those ebay sites?...$35 for the cover, $80 to ship it.
You might also try LMC Truck( .com ). They have an online catalog. I've seen chrome plated replacements, but they may have the black ones as well.
Alot better than $600, no?
