I never owned a dodge truck hows a ram 1500 with a v-8 do for towing?

But, depending on how many miles are on your original transmission will be the real issue.
Original tranny near 100K isn't going to last towing anything near capacity...
Otherwise they are okay in towing, i notice the truck brakes aren't great, and don't tow in OD but thats with any truck.

Just make sure you got decent brakes, the right tires, solid transmission, good cooling and fresh lubricants.

 

I'm only going to look at this truck tomorrow, I just know its a 2000 1500 quad cab with a v8. it has 82000 miles on it.
