Truck just passed 100k
First off I just wanted to say how much of a help this site has been already. Great to be able to come online and learn how to deal with my truck rather than take it to my local Dodge Dealership.
Little background:
2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport 4x4
5.2 Automatic
100,132 miles
Bought the truck 2 1/2 years ago and while driving it from NJ to NC the alternator went bad
-Fixed that
A year later come out of my apartment and there is anantifreeze lake under the truck
-Fixed water pump
About 6 months ago go out to go to school and the truck starts fine but the gauge panel doesn't work and I get a 'no bus' code. Take it to the Dodge shop and they tell me the cpu in the gauge panel is shot-900 dollars to fix
-Bought new battery and thats been fine since
Just passed 100k miles and wanted to do some maintenance and wanted to know what you guys thought
To Do
Change Oil and Filter
Change Air Filter
Coolant Flush
Change Tranny Fluid
Spark Plugs
Any Suggestions??

Hey, that's cool. Mine's got about 1 tank until 100k which is 60k by me over 7 years as a DD. I'd do a full tuneup with cap, rotor and wires, seafoam, plus all gear oil including both diffs and t.c. Better get a new trackbar too cause it's sure to be loose with that many miles.
Check your trac-bar, plenum, catalytic converter, and front bearings.
I recently rotated my tires and noticed the rear drum cooling fins are seriously rotted. I will be replacing them this summer and painting them with caliper paint to slow the rust from getting them again.
Congrats on your 100K mile mark. I got a 98 with 107K. Owned it since Oct 07, it had 103K.

Seafoam!!!! i did mine while i had a plenum leak and made my engine so smooth as the day i pulled it off the lot, once weather warms up now that plenum is done going to do it again. If changin tranny fluid try and get a flush or as much possible out and fill it up with correct amount. Also marvel mystery oil, seems good in the oil, if more mechanically inclined def tune up etc.
If you want your tranny to love you add a pint of lube guard to the tranny while changing the fluid. Its a seal conditioner that will not destroy the seals and gasket. I added it to my 1981 ford f100 over 100,000 miles agoand she still shifts like a new one. Over 300,000 miles on her now. dont forget to leave of one pint of tranny fluid to keep from over filling the tranny. Terry---------------------tboss
