Default tire size

ok, i have a 98 dodge 2500, and with a 2inch suspension and 3body. If i take off the 3inch body and leave the 2 inch suspension, would 285 size tires look good on my truck?

285/what?
I've seen 325's that are real short and squatty and stick half way outside thefender. They are usually on trucks with the rear glass etched and a dove tailantenna on it too. Those look retarded.

They should look alright, even a little small just because a stock 1500 can fit 285's with minimal rubbing, A 2500 with a 2 inch lift would sit nice on some 35's, but you would most likely have to regear the axles to gain back some lost power duea larger diameter tire

It depends on what kind of rims you have, But I know a stock 4 wheel drive 2500 will fit 34's without a lift

Depends...I have the 2500 quad cab with V10 and a monster of a front bumper. 285s would rub.

I put in an equalizer kit and can now run 285s.

Front end weight will play into it...I bet if the body lift came off the 285s would look good and you shouldn't have any rub.

I have 285/75/r16's on a 98 1500 with stock suspension and they look good and fill up the wheel well nicely. They do rub just a little bit when I have them turned all the way. plannin on a 2" leveling kit soon and then I'll prob. move up to true 33's
FYI 285's are 32.83"
