Two Random Questions
Ok guys, two random questions, but I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone.
1.) Anybody had a loose hood latch. Mine is completely shut but moves up pretty significantly when riding. Got a good fix?
2.) I'm lookin to replace the interior door panels on my truck. I've got that great multi-colored cloth and grey right now. Tryin to find solid grey or black, but no luck. Any ideas.
Thanks guys

1. I remember there was a recall on teh secondary hood latch. aparently my truck has yet to have this done, but I see no problems with the latch, and it doesn't do what you are describing.
2. Look on eBay, or try the lcal junk yards. I'm not sure if there are black ones, but you could always paint them. As for the grey, I have it, and I don't have multi-colored cloth in there. just regualr grey cloth, so I'm assuming you can find something like it.
Good luck.

Went through the loose latch on mine...simply pop open hood. Latch mechanism is bolted on in front of radiator. Loosen up bolt(s) and move down ward. Tighten back up. When desired tension is reached put some muscle into tightening bolt(s).

Thanks guys,
Yeah I thought I prob. just needed to loosen the bolts and slide it down, but by the time I get home, it's easier to ask you guys and do it right the first time.
Ebay doesnt have the panels I'm looking for right now (at least not in good condition), so it looks like I'm hittin the salvage yards.
Does anybody know of a company that makes custom panels for 2nd gen. interior door panels?

i just did my panels i put in power windows and locks so i needed the panels. couldnt find the ones for my truck so when i finally found a set i just cleaned em and painted em. duplicolor makes a dye which is pretty much a can of spray paint but it worked great painted the cloth and carpet on them and they turned out great u cant even tell except the paint was a little lighter than my interior.
