How many miles?
If you search here, you will find that the majority of the 46RE auto trannies are garbage and end up having to be rebuilt. I think the average is between 100-120K, which isn't really THAT bad I guess... I would say make sure it's serviced and get a better than stock tranny cooler and pull it til it goes... As far as the weight, it shouldn't be too bad. Check your engine to see if you have a plenum leak, too. Do a search on here for "death flash" and you'll see what I mean... Welcome

+1 for what Ram2K1 said above.
You're looking at a maximum rated trailer weight of around 7100-7500 lbs with a 5.9, depending on if you have a 4x4 or 4x2. The 4x2 is rated at 7500, the 4x4 at 7150. So, if your pickup is in near tip-top shape mechanically, you should be fine. Just take it easy on that transmission.

I think he means without any water or supplies onboard.
I'm pretty sure its a camper trailer.
If it has a stock tire size it would be marginal. Over size tires will probably leave you wanting for lower axle gears.
See if you can find out what ratio it currently has. 3:55 is most common but some truckshave theoptional 3:92 or 4:11. the lower gears will definitely make towing easier even with stock tires
