RE: rebuilding my truck
I dont think that cam will work, the older 318's had a lobe on the cam to drive the fuel pump I belive, and there may be other changes as well.

Here is what I would get: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-03...spagenameZWDVW

That one is for a 360, contact brian and see if he can get you a kit for a 318. I ordered from them to build my 350 and they were VERY helpful, and I got it the very next day.

RE: rebuilding my truck
the "LA" cam is for the older non-magnum small block chrysler. You need a "magnum" cam. It's a hydralic roller, and it's more efficent, however it's more expensive too. check out www.hughesengines.com for everything you need for your magnum. FYI, normally you can reuse the roller lifters on new cams, if they are in good shape, but if you suspect yours isn't, you'll need those too, and they are not cheap either. If it's bad enough off, you can still get decent deals on entire used engines, or long blocks just be wary of cracked heads.
