Default Will it hurt?

Will it hurt to fire up my truck long enough to back it up a couple feet with no headers? I have it in my sisters driveway and I don't think I'm back far enough for her to get her car in all the way. I didn't really think about it when I got here and just started wrenching away at it. I got the headers off andgonna paint them up while there off. Got my remflex gaskets and stage 8 locking header bolts so I don't plan on them coming off again so I wanna paint them. They are getting rust spots quick so they look like crap.

thanks guys

Can you just push it back in neutral without starting it up?

You can't put it in Neutral and push it back?

Yes, it will hurt your ears quite a bit. It's probably not the most desirable thing to do. I agree with Silver and 1BigRam, try and push it out of the way.

I'd just push it back in neutral as well. I've never started a vehicle without headers on it but I'm fairly sure the fire shooting out of your engine could cause some problems (cooked wires and ****) might cook your valves up too, not sure though.

Not by myself LOL. I know its not good on the valves but wasn't sure if it was real quick if it would hurt. Its kinda on a slight hill facing downward not sure if me and my bro in law can push it back or not. it would suck to get ran over by your own truck haha

If you do it, you are required to post a sound clip.

coast the truck in neutral down to where it's flat for a little bit. The only hard part of pushing these trucks is getting them moving. Once you get it rolling you can push it up your driveway as far as you have to. I had to push my truck about 50 yards up my road to the mechanic and it's slightly uphill. As long as you get it rolling you'll be okay. You will need a second person in the truck though to steer or hit the brakes if you need them to.

Not only a sound clip, but a video clip, as well...

Preferably in HD.

Lol
