Swapping out the front spindle/hub/brake assembly from a 95 2wd to that of a 00 or 01 2wd. Or could you put the 4x4 hubs on a 2wd? Trying to put on 3rd gen 20's (that I already bought). They fit the 94-01 4x4's, the 00-01 4x2's and of course the 3rd gens. Am I just screwed?

i don't believe that the 4x4s and 4x2 in that year had different bolt patterns so if you have a 95 2wd and those wheels will fit a 94-01 4x4 then they should fit yours... if not the only thing you can do as far as checking out hubs is to an auto parts store that stocks both the 2wd hubs and 4wd hubs and see if the bolt patterns are the same on the backand if they are then you shouldn't have a problem but that will only solve your problem on the front i don't know how you will match up the bolt pattern on the back... you may just be screwed

This post details the problem. The bolt patterns are the same and I got the rears to fit just fine. The problem is that the front hub is too big for the rim. As far as my research tells me, the front spindle/hub assembly changed on the 00-01 2nd gens. The only trucks that will fita re the ones listed above. So I'm trying to eliminate the front hub by upgrading to the 00-01 version or put on a 4x4 hub if that's possible.

I just seen that post where you mentioned me. Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner. I don't think that changing out the hubs and stuff will work. I could be wrong but I know they changed everything on the front suspension in the 00 and 01. Plus it would probably cost alot of money to get these parts. I have seen where someone had the wheels hub machined out and it worked great but again, that would probably cost alot too. Have you thought about using spacers? If you don't plan on lowering it they would work.It wouldn't be my choice but I have seen it work. You can try to use a smaller GM dust cap and that might help with the clearance but I think your screwed as far as having the ram caps on the fronts.

If I were you, and in the same situation, I would sell the wheels and just get some aftermarket wheels that you can just bolt on with no issues. Thats probably the easiest solution.I was going to get aftermarket wheels until I ran across the wheels I have for $400 with tires. I would really like to get some new wheels now. Good luck!
