here are the pics.

the box

the box again
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...5/176_7616.jpg

this is the line running out the front of the box
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...5/176_7617.jpg

It runs to the TB. it is the far cable back
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...5/176_7618.jpg

and last. This is where the vacume line runs to
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...5/176_7619.jpg

It does not look like aftermarket. But it could be. and if it is. it is probley going to come off. I dont use Cruise. And i could get rid of that dang wire. So just let me know what yea guys think. Also that box is not even attatched very well. And i do hear a hard vacume when i take off. And i am getting kind of a Low idle when i am sitting. Think that might be what it is? creating a vacume leak?

It's aftermarket cruise control.
That's a design I haven't seen before, with the servo and module all in one. It looks very old.

ok, well do you think there would be any harm in taking it out? Ill disconnect the vacume line this weekend see if that stops the idle issue. Ill have to track down where the rest of the wires run to. This is going to be a pain. WTF would someone put something like that on a truck for. that did not have it.

i added something similar to my '96 ram.it was an extra large vacumn cannister with check valve that a freind gave me.it solved all my vacumn trouble.if cruise, and heater controls all work properly i would leave it there.
