transmission label?
hey all let me start by saying thank you for all the help. looking around and under the ram today i found a tag on maybe the trans. or at least close to it . it was to the left of the drive shaft if you were looking from the back of the truck. i dont know if it is useful to me or not but not knowing anything about the truck i'm trying to get as much info as i can. I took a pic , and now that i looked at it againit says "new process gear".All right then i guess that the new question is do the #'s tell me anything? the word new leads me to believe that this isn't an original part. can it be deciphered so i can tell if it was replaced with what was there ,or something different? maybe better? prob not but i can hope. again anything you can tell me would be more than i know now .thanks again and sorry if i wasted anyones time.
oh and the cut off part of the pic says syracuse,ny

I think you just found your new process transfer case's Id. tag, not the transmission.
Number's symblozie model of transfer case, and gear ratio, assembly number, and serial number... Pretty self explanatory.
