Default Dealing with Front Driveshaft Angles

Well, I'm looking for advise from people who 4 wheel their trucks.

I have about 7" of suspension lift and have binding in my front driveshaft.I ordered a new Tom Woods shaft that will allow for 35 degrees of deflection without binding. However, at ride height I have a little under 30 degrees already, which does not allow for a lot of suspension droop before it binds (about 3" at the differential according to their tech). How have you guys solved this issue (besides rigging up a way to drop the skid and lower the output on the t-case)? I know I can run limiting straps, but I'm wondering what other options there are.

Thanks
Jerrod

There are only 3 ways to improve drive shaft angle

1. Decrease lift [sm=smiley21.gif]

2. Rotate the transfer case downby using an indexing ring [sm=smiley20.gif]

3. Have the front axle diff housing rotated up by drilling out the plug welds & turning the housing so that the pinion points higher or replace axle with a high pinion D44 or D60 axle [sm=smiley20.gif]$$$[sm=smiley21.gif]

The indexing ring was really what my question was poking at, I wasn't sure if there was anything of that sort for this application. I'm not really ready to step up to 1 ton axles with this rig; I'm not looking to go too extreme and its currently my DD. I built it more for fun trail riding / hill climbs / rock ledges. We have a decent rock garden where I wheel that I used to enjoy taking my Jeep in, but the Dodge is gonna stay out of that for the time being.

Thanksfor the info.

One more thing:
Anyone know the difference between these? One's price is a lot higher, but they seem to be the same make.
