Squeaky noise under the hood

Have this horrible squeaky noise coming from underneath the hood. Sprayed some WD-40 on each pulley until it stopped and it seems to be the one on my alternator. Can you change this pulley without having to buy a new alternator? Do you need any special tools to do this?
