You're definitely running into a low vacuum issue if your air vents are diverrting under acceleration. Check everywhere for vacuum leaks, up to and including under the dash.
Part of my issue is my lobe separation on my cam is 110. Anything under 112 can cause low vacuum issues. I'm considering installing a secondary vacuum pump for my accessories and brakes.

I've got a massive cam in my Duster (11 inHg of vacuum at idle), and all of my vacuum-operated accessories work fine.
I haven't measured it with a gauge, but I did move the vacuum feed for my MAP sensor from the throttle body down low into the intake to get a better reading. At close to full throttle I lose all vacuum. My concern with that is I need vacuum for the power brake booster.
