I prefer when people reply to an old thread. Otherwise, what happens - they open a new thread. Now we have multiple threads on the same topic. This dilutes the search feature. Keeping everything in as few of threads as possible makes the search more powerful. If the topic is the same, who cares how old the thread is. It's not like our trucks are changing any. Information from a year ago is still as valid today as it was a year ago.
