I have a 2000 quad cab and the front speakers only work occaisonally, it doesnt seem like a loose wire because they dont come on when driving over bumps, they just sometimes come on but most times not. is it a bad radio or bad speakers?

My right front speaker is out as well, buti havent attacked it yet. i did pull the drivers door panel it was easy there should be a screw on the top of the panel by the dash. remove that then grab the panel where it has loosened and pull firmly should just pop out dont pull too hard theres connectors and wires that you dont want to damage. after the panel is off you will see the clips still in the door pull them out and install them on the panel now just line up the clips with the holes in the door and press real hard , put the screw back in and your done. dont know if this is the "right" way but it works, as long as your not an animal about it good luck

3 screws, 2 in grab handle, 1 by side view mirror. Then pull straight out and the clips will let go. A panel removal tool helps a bunch on the factory clips, then buy Chrysler panel replacements at the local AP store.

Good luck. I had my door panel off several times and the first 2 all went great. The 3rd time the pieces on the door panel that hold the clips started snapping off. I think they were weak from the other 2 times. My buddy that worked at a Dodge dealer told me this was very common and happened all the time to them. I luckily still have enough it holds my door panel tight. I think 3 broke on one side and 2 on the other or something like that. I suggest using a trim removal tool as to try to not put soo much pressure on the panel. Maybe that will bring the clips out with the panel. I don't think I used my trim tool the first time I'm not sure about the 2nd but I used it the 3rd.

Yea my front right speaker wasn't working also...so I had a simple solution...I replaced it!

But I didn't have a trim removal tools and wish I did. I broke so many clips and it just doesn't seal the same now!

Invest on it unless you want to speed the money on new clips and the pain of pulling off all the ones that stay in the door! *pliers ftl*

Also those clips aren't cheap...I mean they just a lil piece of ****ing plastic! [:'(]

Yeah I can't comment on the stereo problem as I didn't have it and now run a amp and the components in the front and coaxials in the rear are wired directly to the Alpine amp that powers them.

I did have a problem like that in my Honda with a speaker not working turns out it was the speaker. At first I think it worked some but not often. Not positive though.
