Default New Dodge Owner

Here's some pictures of my truck as it sat on the lot...

1997 Dodge Ram 2500 Crew Cab Short Bed
5.9L V8 Magnum
43k original miles
Tow Package, Plow Package, SLT Laramie package
1 owner, local farmer, same dealership I got it at sold it to the first owner 11 years ago and he traded it back in for a brand new 2500.

I'm removing the running boards, tail light covers and plow bracket today.

Nice truck! It will look a lot better without the plow and running boards.

The engine does have a ping when I'm gassing it good but otherwise it's fine. Used the 4x4 yesterday and this morning and it was great. What all should I do as far as the tranny maintence?

Also, I got the 'eyebrows' and the running boards off this morning. Looks much better. I did notice theres about 10 or 12 bolts to get the plow framing off and I'm not sure if I want to bother with it. Doing a 3" leveling kit with 1.5" blocks in the back, exhaust, intake and programmer very soon. Just have to learn more about each product and what not.

Nice man, it sounds like you got a good idea with what you would like to do. I love getting a truck and starting from scratch with it. I bought my truck last summer, and the project never ends my friend! Welcome!
