Cowl Induction hoods are designed to extract heat out of the engine bay and not do anything else. Although, there were a few that were designed with a rod attached to the throttle linkage that when you hit a certain position on the throttle a flapper opened up and allowed air into the cleaner. They were cool, but that's about it..

I haven't seen a good aftermarket hood for these trucks, they way they're designed limits the flow of the lines. Check with LMC, they've got a few in their catalog.

How about you learn what your talking about before you say such a definitive.

I do agree with you about the available styles for our trucks. They look like trash.

If I didn't already install hood scooops on my truck, I'd think about getting one.

Where abouts do you live.. I learned real quick that cowl hoods and snowy an wet conditions ruin the round air cleaner..

I live in oregon where it rains all the time! and snows where I go skiing or hunting...should I not get a crowl hood then? How much water will get in? and yes for those that do not know I do have a round filter.
