well today i went to go to the store, get in, and start my truck. VRROOOMMMM!!!!! it literaly scared the crap out of me! I shut the truck off imediately and look underneath. and guess what. my exhuast is GONE! someone actually stole my exhaust! i know it didnt fall off when i was driving yesterday cuz it wasnt nearly that loud when i parked it and the sawsall cut that i made to put it on was way different(real chopy). i dont know when or how they did it maybe when i was at work all day or last night . maybe hacksaw? i dont know. cuz i would have heard a sawsall. so obviously i cant drive around w/out a muffler so i went and got a flowmaster super 44 and welded it on. thank god its payday! its also sitting inside the garage this time. i honestly dont know what to say. thats just weird. ive never heard of stealing mufflers before. let alone mine. i just wanted to tell someone cuz i am absolutley blown away by this.

 

Did they just steal the muffler or the cat too?? The cats are worth some money these days because of the platinum prices gone crazy.

 

I've heard of people stealing cats/mufflers before, especially in the Chicago and Detroit areas. But in Arizona? That surprises me a bit.

 

wow! man, ive had my stereo stolen once, and my car battery once, but this, this is just messed up.

 

Sorry to hear about your truck. Here in Minnesota, they're stealing cats and re-selling htem for the precious metals in them. Our trucks sit so high off the ground they're easier targets than cars. Now if it's just the muffler, then you either got a kid that liked the sound of your truck or a stupid thief that didn't know the difference between a cat and a muffler.

 

Thats pretty funny if they meant to steal the cat and they stole the muffler. Did they steal all the tubing, or just the muffler

Yeah.. I work in preciuos metals so take it from me.. the price of Platinum and Iridium has sky rocketed.. should be getting some good bucks for the cat I would think.. but havent checked into that.. Stolen muffler... sounds like they were trying for the cat...but who knows.. man I'd be freakin pissed....sorry to hear it man...

YAY! yeah i guess they were going after cats cuz the neighbors had the same thing happen (lifted ford). i never thought of the cats being worth that much. but hell people are climbing onto roofs and stealing copper out of the ac units these days. hooligans[>:]. i just hope it doesnt happen again. i dont think theres anyway to protect yourself against that unless u gate up the whole house and buy 3 tigers!
