Should be identical as long as the years are similar. If you go with an older year, it might be EGR. This is true whether it is a 360 or a 318.

I have a 98 360intake on my 96 318. Niether had EGR BUT...

The 1996 has threaded holes for a temp switch AND a temp sensor

The 1998 ONLY had a spot for the temp sensor. Had to drill and tap a new hole on the 1998.

Also the vacuum fittings are on different sides. This can be cured by swapping valve covers or just running longer vacuun lines.

An intake from a 318 will be the same as an intake from a 360 for that same year. The differences you might run into (things mentioned above) will only result from going with a different year, not from going with a 5.2 versus 5.9.

The actual intake is a direct fit, however like others have stated you might notice differences regarding vacuum hose placement and mounting options for sensors. The interior of the intakes might also be different, but all of these differences relate to the manufacture uear differences of the intakes and not if it is 318 or 360.
