Default injector question

I have a '01 Ram 1500 4x4 w/5.2L. The motor went out about 2 years ago and due to other priorities i just got a reman engine put back in. The problem I'm having is: Only the driver's side injectors are firing. I've cleaned all the injectors, had the computer reflashed and changed them out for another set. The fuel rail has fuel in it and the pump is working. The 4 on the driver's side work fine and the motor will run, it just runs like crap. Any suggestions?

Thanks

James

are you sure its not your injectors. It sounds to me like it could be your wiring harness. What I would do is pull off your plugs and find out if you are getting power to them, perhaps its a ground, since all on one side aren't running. If you could find out which wire was the hot and which one is the negative, you could run a jumper wire to the negative on the battery to the negative on the injectors.

The injectors all receive constant power from the same source (ASD relay I believe)
the PCM supplies the individual ground.
How did you verify the injectors aren't firing?
It could be the PCM is defective, but I would recheck all wiring and connectors to make sure something isn't pinched or corroded or not plugged in properly. Some contact cleaner on all connections would be a good idea
Any mice chew the wiring while it was sitting?

went through the wiring several times and it looks to be in good shape. Had the computer reflashed and the guy said it was fine. will check the grounds and see what that turns up

thanks

What codes is it throwing? Can you drive it in this condition?
Chances are if the whole bank of injectors was not firing, it wouldnt be driveable.
Im with Rabble, check the connectors and wiring harness.

Its not throwing any codes. Its not drivable. It starts, but runs really rough. During troubleshooting i unplugged the injectors one by one, and when i unplug any of the ones on the pass side nothing changes, but when i unplug one on the drivers side it dies. I know they are getting a "hot", but have to figure out a way to check the ground.

Unplug the injector, connect a test light across the injector connector terminals. You should see the bulb flicker or glow dimly. You could also use a 194 bulb, just bend the bulb terminals so they plug into the conector.
A noid light would be the proper tool to use but I don't imagine you have one of those laying around.

Try to wiggle the clips & hold them down one at a time & pushing the wires in at the top while idling to see if the rpms change. Those clips are crap IMHO.
Injector test light will flash about every 3seconds if its getting a signal at idle.
No signal could beinside the clip thecontacts broken, wires into the clip or further back in the harness or worse case the pcm. Work your way back when testing and confirming good/bad results.

I ended up borrowing a set of injectors from a friend that is rebuilding his motor. They all worked fine, so it looks like im going to have to buy some new injectors.

Thanks everyone for your help.
