Default 2001 misses

I have a 2001 Ram 1500 Quad 4x4 with the 5.2 it has started missing at a high RPM.
It has done this for a few days now. Then it started NOT missing as long as it was not warmed up, then it returned to missing.
Now today it never missed not once....and I drove it when it was cold and after it warmed up!
It only has 74000 miles on it. So I don't think it is the plugs. Could it be a sensor of some sort?

All I know is that when it does miss it is very hard on gas. I know I need to take it to the shop and put it on the puter.....but if it is not missing then it won't show up will it?

Does it kind of feel like nothing is there? Could you describe the symptoms? I am having trouble with my 99 5.2, and I don't know what is going on.

Actually I think mine was just dirty.......or had a piece of dirt in it. Because now it is fine and has been for a week.
But when it was acting up it......it had a miss at a high RPM (2500) or more sounded like it had a dead plug wire but now it is fine.
I guess the old saying worked out for me.....Don't fix it unless it is broke
