Why would you want to lower a 4x4?

no...2wd springs will not work. To lower the back would be the same as a two wheel drive, I would flip the springs and buy shorter shocks. For the front I would cut 1 coil off the spring, and buy shorter shocks. Probably achieve a 1" drop in the front and a 3 inch in the back. I think that would look good. But I would go up instead of down if it was me

Cutting coils springs is just a bad idea.

the only way to lower the front is to get out a blow torch and undo and then rebend it. but why do you want to lower a 4x4?

Yes, I have to chime in with everyone else here... why are you lowering a 4x4? If anything, you raise 4x4s and lower 4x2s...

That depends on who did the lift, how they did it, and what parts they used. It also depends on how/where you drove it (no offense intended).

Its not the 4x4s fault usually.

agreed, up to around 5 inchs of lift with 35's will not break anything, you may get worse gas milage. What I would recommend as your other thread. Buy a 2wd truck just like the one you got, transfer all the mods, and make the 4x4 stock again. Then sell the 4wd a stock 4wd will get alot more money then a modded 4wd. You would probably make money on the transaction and be able to buy the lowering kit for the truck.

If you don't need 4wd, then their in no sense in having all of that extra crap that will wear out (transfer case, front end, driveshaft, plus other stuff).
