Default SUPERCHARGER!!!!

Hey guys. I got the 97 dodge ram ss/t with the 5.9L 360 V-8.

I just got a Supercharger for it. It came with a smaller pully for 12psi!

What should I exspect from this when i install it?

What kind of power?

Shawn

I think 12 PSI is way to much to just bolt on the stock engine.
What other mods are you planning for this engine?

well i have headers, high flow cat, and muffler. I also have the stock pully for the charger that runs the charger at 8-9psi. If it blew the motor I would be pissed but I would also be excited to build a new one with better parts!

I want to put on a new throtle body and redo the heads.

I want to put on a new throttle body and redo the heads.
For the TB, go with the Fastman.

That's my two cents.

alot of work. head work, bigger injectors etc. puttin that on a stock engine with no upgrades is gonna cause some problems.

At 12 lbs your gonna go lean. Eat head-gaskets.
Retard the hell out of the timing, it might hold for a week. Be ready
to start a head-gasket collection.
You want to up-grade your fuel-pump, get a adj.-fuel reg, bigger injectors,
cooler thermostat, and keep the motor nice and cool before tromping on it.
(Mabe a high-flowing elc-fan). Good luck,.. See ya at the parts store.

I suggest forged pistons and rods and least. get larger injectors along with a bigger fuel pump and do some head work. like JBs said, retard the timing a lot and be sure to tune it before you drive the hell out of it or youll loose a lot of your money to hear some interesting sounds of your engine breaking.

start with the 8psi pulley, its not worth it to dive into that much psi just because youre excited. take it slow and do everything right and youll be even happier when youre done with it!

Good luck!
