Default Ported Intake Manifold

The 50mm Fastman sold and now ive had a couple of offers on the Ported Intake Manifold.

It is a Ported Intake Manifold w/ a Hughes Plenum plate. It was taken off a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD 318ci 5.2L.

Considering the dang plate is just $100 ill start it out at $70 + shipping. Meet or beat the next deal. This is the last item i have available... im looking to close this tonight at 9:00pm.

Thanks...

you can adjust the Crank sensor by slotting the mounting holes and moving it closer or further from the center of the truck (retards and advances respectively.) advancing is the poor man's fix for the death flash.

Doesn't rotating the distributor do the same thing

really, I thought that was how you adjusted the timing. Wouldn't a computer flash be better then moving the crank sensor. Just wondering

yes, a flash would be better, but again as mentioned before, "its the poor man's fix". With all due respect, mike is trying to sell something here so feel free to pm me if you have another question. or use the search feature.

The crank sensor sets the base timing the PCM operates on, it's essentially a magnet that reads marks on the tone ring or the flywheel (can't recall which). The reason I moved it was because the dealer death flashed my PCM to "fix" the pinging that was due to poor plenum design. The "Death Flash" pulls (retards) about 4 degrees of base timing off the PCM. Pushing the crank sensor toward the oil filter (away from the center) can get about 2* to 3* of that back.

I believe turning the distrubutor only adjusts fuel sync via the cam sensor, but I could be wrong about that.
