Two good reasons not to weld, keep us informed im looking at doing this too.

Yeah good reasons not to weld I guess. I'd ride by a local shop machine shop or some auto repair shops will do stuff like that alot cheaper here and just ask them how much to just weld them in place. It shouldn't be very expensive. Even a exhaust shop might do it fairly cheap. I had a exhaust shop cut some bolts off for me with a torch and they didn't charge me for it.

hmmm I have heard of people's hood flying up with pins too. Not sure if they had a screwed up stock latch or what. I read about it on stangnet just a thought for ya not sure what pins you got.

Your right. Nothing is fool proof. I have had too much trouble with my latch that I dont want to chance it anymore. If these are being an issue then Ill throw the latch back on and all iv done is just double up on everything.

Mine never came off the secondary latch, but It did break free the primary latch and slammed that secondary one hard. Scared the F out of me. I hope I never have to see that happen.
