from what i have read on here the b&g flash is the BEST option. If your looking for a programmer the Superchips one sounds like the one most people like and have had better luck with when hey tried it and the hypertech. The Hypertech is kinda iffy by the sound of it. Some see a difference and some don't

heres B&G's site if you wanna check it out http://www.bgperformancepcm.com/

That's about all I can help. I haven't used any of them

SCT is the best, but by far the most expensive. How about you look into a mopar pcm?

SCT cost more but at least you can getone of the 3tunes for economy with 87oct. The mp pcm is one tune only for 91oct. It does increase mpg but higher fuel costs wipe out any gains. Ive run mine accidently with 87 once(full tank) and had no adverse affects or ping. My truck was below stock weight and I never tow and only thing its ever hauled is azz Bigger heavier truck may not get away with it.

will it hurt our motor if it changes the rev meter to a higher rpm, and that the shift points are a higher rpm than 5200

+1 on SCT. I enthusiastically suggest it if it is within your budget! Mine has done wonders for my truck!

Good thing about the SCT is you can have ittuned for what you currently have. If youchange something your an email away from the correct tune for the changes made.

MP PCM is one tune fits all which it doesnt in most cases. Add modsand you will be running leaner n leaner the more you do.Ramair, 52tb, M1, rt+10 cam, 1.7rr it had mine runnning 14.0 a/f WOT threw the mid range,by4500rpms it was 14.8 and climbing fast.
The S/C has 3 generic tunes fits all but same thing, add some real mods later and there are no updated tunes to match the changes made.

Stock valve train should not be rev'd beyond 5200rpms max. Need better rockers/pushrods to go to 5500rpms and guides to go to 6000rpms. Stock ignition sucks beyond 4500rpms as well as the tb, kegger and heads

Will the SCT do much for the little mods I have? I know you guys said they will change the tune if you upgrade. ( I am hoping next years tax check will get me my cam and heads and adjustable 1.6's...) But was wondering if it will do much in the way of performance to the basically stock I have now... not worried about milage.. I'm only 10 minutes from work...

I have no doubt whatsoever that it will improve the stock setup. At the very least it should give the same performance that any of the others would do, but I believe it would be a little better for stock setup than the others. The biggest benefit in tis case would be when you mod your truck later. The other programmers would not be able to be changed whereas the SCT tuner could be upgraded through your computer via email download, and accomodate the changes you made to bring out the most performance from them.

Contact this guy and he will be happy to answer all of your questions. He has always been very quick to respond to me and is very pleasant to deal with. hemifever@aol.com
He is the guy I bought mine from and was the best price.
