Update: Bought truck...need info
Cash and carry rebuild for transmission $900...its a good deal.
But while i have the trans out i want to flush the lines. How do i go about doing this???? WOuld air nozzle work? A solvent air nozzle with alcohol (will evaporate)?
I just want to make sure that i do not have any fiture clogs. The check valve is already removed and i am having them drill out the valve body to fix the problem.
On another note...i am going to buy a trans temp guage. Where should i put this on the transmission to get the best readings without having to buy a new pan or tap into mine?

Temp Gauge should be installed in the pan for the most accurate, but the output from the transmission line, also it goes in to the bottom of the radiator. Do a forum search, I know of at least one out there that has a nice setup with a spin on trans filter also.
They sell canned trans cooler flush http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LUBEG...QQcmdZViewItem
