that lttle box is dodge's factory installed 7way wiring for trailer lights. the placement is horrible. i cut mine off and turned is so the cap faces out instead of towards the hitch.

ok thanks for the anwser. granted according to dodge manual and other info i can tow up to 6,000lbs "doubt it" anyways would my truck have enough power to haul a 16ft car trailer with a compact 4cyl car on it. "hornet car for westsalem speedwayif your from wisconsin"or would i have to add a little more power to it? and what size drop hitch should i use? sorry for all these questions, i just wonder what the capabilities of my dodge are cuz this is my 1st dodge.

Your truck could haul up to 6000 lbs, maybe a little more.

That being said, the 5.2L won't like it that much.

kinda figured, but would a 16ft car trailer with a car weighing around 2500lbs or so be ok for the stock engine and transmission with overdrive off ofcourse.

ur truck would be able to tow that towing combo with out any problems unless the terrain is goin to be really hilly then a tranny cooler would be a good investment. uhaul sells those for under 50 bucks and its a simple install. but if u have the factory hitch and wiring u may already have one just look b/w the radiator and the a/c condeser and u'll see it.

what does it cost to have a tranny cooler installed? correction. i just looked and there appears to be a "exrta radiator" infront of the radiator. could that be it? its around 1 1/2ft wide and 2ft long, its like a medium size radiator.
