Default Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks for everyones help... it started out as a plenum repair.. with 96,000 on the truck.. I turned it into alittle more than that...(Hughesplenum, modded the keg, lifters, pushrods, rockers, timing chain, water pump, T-stat, cap wires, plugs and rotor...as well as sensors and some clutter management....) thanks to all the info from everyone.. it was no problem.. even with the few "bad" things that did show up...( had a broken stud on the manifold...a stuck lifter...I know for sure where the ticking was!!!) Everything went smooth... had fun doing it... and when she turned over.. once the rockers oiled up and the lifters did too...it was silent, and power is more then I've ever felt in this truck.. ( had it just under two years and am sure the plenum has been shot LONG before that..) Took the time to clean and paint the intake, brackets, pulleys, T-stat housing, timing cover.. water pump....etc...put the Mopar AC and Valve covers back on.. she looks good, runs great.. thanks again everyone for your help and putiing up with my questions..

Tomorrow she gets a bath and wax.. I'll post a pic of her with the new headlights as well.

Sorry it took so long to get back a reply....

Lifters were Rhoads OEM's.. honestly.. the ones from Napa or fishers were very similar.. but I am partial to Rhoads

Cost... this is tricky...I did alot of things at once... and.. alot of extras.. ( paint, extra parts like O-rings, etc..)

Timing set was JP Performance...$75
Fel-ProTiming gasket set....$19
Water pump..Napa...$57
Lifters Rhoads...$270... Fishrs would have been about $200, Napa..about the same for direct replacement..)
Pushrods....$90
HS 1.7 RR's...$360
Hughes Plenum kit..( pan and bolts/ gasket ) $86
Intake bolts and gasket set from Hughes..$47
Wires, cap, rotor,plugs..about $110 ( 8.5 MM wires, Brass cap, Autolites plugs..)
180* T-stat....$10...( no codes so far!! )

Cost so far..$1124.. there no doubt this all can be done cheaper if you go with stock replacement parts from ..say.. Napa..
I also replaced both temp sensors, the IAT,tools I didnt have.. ( compact impact gun, long allen sockets, 1 1/4" impact socket..etc )

Now the cosmetics are a whole other thing..Paint, the Mopar Valve covers, VC gaskets..and AC, the Billet breathers...wire looms, stainless bolts, all adds up...
And.. this was also added just a week or two after Gibson headers, Hi-Flo cat, Flowmaster, 3" exhaust...all the labor was done by me.. so no cost there...just time..lets just say.. wifey wont be seeing these receipts..
