Painted my exhaust
i figured a painted exhaust is worth at least 15hp, maybe 20hp. Where do you live that they make you have a cat in the exhaust. I thought that in some states you just had to pass emisions

Some states check, some don't. Some cops check, some don't.
Some vehicles require a cat to pass emissions, others don't. Also depends on the state's emission guidelines, I suppose.
EDIT: Just to clarify, the emissions thing is a state thing, but the emissions thing when a vehicle is brand spankin new AND the catalytic converter is a Federal thing.
Oh, and nice job Indy.

That is a nice set-up. Right now I have a liking of the look of tips going behind each rear tire, but maybe 2-3 years from now when I redo the exhaust I may consider this option. I'd be a little sad that you couldn't see exhaust system as much, but it would be even louder. Plus, sometimes its actually pretty cool when you hear a loud truck go by and you don't know where the exhaust is coming from unless your on the side it's exiting from. Nice work though..

BTW did you ever try to polish yours up? I've been doing that to mine to keep them looking good.
I hated how bad they got behind the rear tires but realized with the Powerball I could get them looking good again with lots of work. The problem is the polish is $9 a bottle and doesn't seem to last too long and it tears up the powerballs over time which are $20. It seems like to keep them looking new I have to polish them about once a week. My chrome tips I had before were no where near this bad and stayed looking good as long as I washed them plus they were half the price and I didn't have to spend $30 a month plus time polishing them.

Indy, how far back do the Pacesetter LTend in relation to the body?
At the back of the front wheel well or farther back?

Had quite a kick driving open headers today. I made my neighbor drop her drink when I started it.
Indy....I need to know the specs on that exhaust system...it is EXACTLY what I want to do! My mind has been wondering how to get around emissions and the fed cat law and etc. On top how to do dual exhaust from long tubes and side exit before the rear tire!
Those flowmaster 10's? 20's? Please help man and I'd be forever in your debt.
