Default How to read tranny model/date/serial code?

I'm a newbie to this 2nd gen, and have to admit that, knowing I was looking for an older truck, it was resources like this that made me look for a CTD. I should also say I searched for an answer to my question, but couldn't find much. Posted this in the CTD forum as well.

I just bought a '95 2500 CTD automatic with 150k miles on it, and am taking inventory of what I really have. Sticker on the underside of the hood says I should have a 47RH tranny, but the guy I bought it from claims he replaced the tranny "a while back, gee I don't have the records and can't recall what I did". So I assume he replaced a 47RH with another 47RH. Tranny is fine, but I'd like to get a better idea of how old it is, did he really replace it, etc.

I did find this helpful link which at least told me where to look for a serial number on the tranny
http://dodgeram.org/tech/transmission/4xrh.htm

I located the ID plate just above the pan, and read what looks like PK521191582338 5309 (but I'm looking at that with old man eyes, so who knows). The link above told me I should find a 9 digit part #, a space, a 4 digit date code, another space, and a 4 digit serial number. I've got an 8 where there is supposed to be a space, and if I ignore that, I have a 4 digit date code of 2338? Something doesn't seem right. Does anyone know how to decode this stuff?
