Default Please Help????? Headers???

ok i have pretty much stock exhaust, 1999 1500 Sport 5.2L .... going to take it in next week to have some exhasut work done. having them go dual strights back from the cat with nice tips! shop told me that dodge makes the loudest truck and that going to dual strights back from the cat will be the loudest option, or they said they could put 2 glasspacks on each side to tone it down a little!! but i don't know what either sound like so i opted to go with no glasspacks. figured i could alwasys put those on later if i didn't like it?? but my real question is.... is headers even worth putting on my truck??? do they add any real noticable power or even a noticable noise difference?? and if so what the best brand??? becasue i don't see spending upwards of 500$ for not alot of difference?? well thanks guys, DODGE ROCKS!!

Actually, the Magnum exhaust manifolds flow pretty well, and are comparable to a set of headers. You should cut out a decent amount of weight with headers though.

YES! headers are a good way to go. they will help your motor breath better at upper rpms. I have the gibsons and love them. they were a little bit of a pita to get them to seal (no leaks) but after getting it sealed it purrs like a tiger...
