Don't use the autozone pitman arm puller. PIECE OF POOP!!!. i just did a steering gear replacement and when i was using thiers i was only spreading the jaw. make sure to have a good brass mallet to beat on it with . you will probably have to end up cutting the old one to get it off.

I got the lift one!!l let me tell you, doing that by yourself is a pain in the ***!!!!!!! i broke the auto zone pitman arm puller (should have taken your advice phlash_riot, i only used it cuz i had it) i gave it back to them and they gave me their money back, i cannot for the life of me get that damn pitman arm off!!!! It is stuck on there...i broke two pullers and the auto zone fork, i used heat, wd40, what else can i do to get it off? i don't wanna cut it yet but it seems like thats my only option...

i would connect it back, and take it to the shop where you are going to get your front end alignment, on an old f250 i had, they only charged 20 bucks to replace the pitman arm. That beats risking burning your seal on the bottom of the steering box. The shop I had used an air powered puller
