Default RE: Ever Rebuilt Your Own Tranny?

I looked into that site a bit when i was doing my build. Lots of good stuff. I was actually planning on going with Level10 (http://www.levelten.com/index.html) but decided against it and went with SMR transmission, a known chrysler tranny place, mostly because it's in canada and shipping can get a little ridiculous when it comes to cross-border shipping (and i'd heard good things from them). They were good to deal with, i called them, told them what i was doing, and they sold me what I needed (their sportsman rebuild kit is good, although i wasn't as happy with the shift kit from them....might just be me though), i also got the TC from them, a heavy-duty unit and a different ratio band apply lever. The torque converters in these trucks are junk, lots of lockup failures. As far as stall selection....with my stock sacked out 318, seat of the pants says the stock 2200 was slightly better-performing than the 2400 i got, although I'm sure there was no real difference either way.
