ORIGINAL: Slomojo

Also, if you don't have a great big catch pan for all of the fluid, try this. Get duct tape, a garbage bag, and the bucket you have available for the fluid. Loosen up the bolts on the tranny pan, enough to where you can remove them by hand, and now duct tape the mouth of the garbage bag around the tranny pan. This is so that when you undo the bolts they and all the fluid will be funneled into the bottom of the bag. Put the bottom of the bag in the bucket you got available and so long as there are no holes in your bag, you'll have a nice and easy time cleaning things up.
well you should get it tapped with an plug or buy a new tranny pan, like a lil deeper one. but if youre still not the best method is to get a round plastic garbage can lid cut a hole in the middle and and put it on top of your catch pan.. works as a large funnel

put 4 bolts in, one on each side, have em half - 3/4 threaded, take a screwdriver and just slightlty tap it in on the corners, nothing past the flathead part of the screwdriver, if the weight of the pan and oil then dont break it loooose then take a puddy knife or something flat and start where the screwdriver left off and continue around breaking the rtv seal...

aaah I ended up going to my dodge stealership and paid 30 bux for the missing part so I could shove the thing in there and crank down the spare.. meh,, what a PITA,, got two new tires for 284 bux at discount tire....

Update on Oil change.. after 3 hours.. SUCCESS. I scared the crap out of my self, the tailgate fell as I was driving and made a huige THUNK, I crapped my self a bit, thinking that something went horrible wrong with my tranny oil swap... reminder to my self... dont do this again without a garage and about 10 rolls of paper towels. baaah I got oiled pretty good while under the truck lol.. good times.. fitler was a pita too lol, but al is good so far, no leaks etc, drove about 10 miles with it, good as new,, thus far lol..

did you get the road hazard with discount? they have a pretty good one. pretty much covers anything.

what was wrong with your tire? they fix flats for free, had a nail in mine the other week and when i drove up there they just took the tire out of the bed, pulled it off the wheel and plugged the hole
