i think the 3rd gen trucks have rear axles made by aam not dana the dana axle is a good unit for stock but the aam has the issue of the broken c- clips

The 2nd gens have the broken c clip problem too. Do some reasearch as I have an its a very common issue. I just was saying there are 2 threads on the 3rd gen section I saw without even doing a search. I think some of them have the 9.25" but someone correct me if I'm wrong.
they are both 9.25 " axles but the second gen is made by dana and the third gen by aam how can the factory unit be so bad that it last any where from 75,000 miles to 135,000 like i have on my truck and the auburn units last a year at best
